Pete Stride teamed up with John Plain (the Boys) in to record New Guitars In Town. The material on this album was very much in a Lurkers vein, but again it met with limited success. The Lurkers were inactive for a short time at this juncture, with Stride and Moore then bringing in new singer Mark Fincham.

Don't post randomness/off-topic comments. Jokes are fine, but don't post tactless/inappropriate ones. Don't get in arguments with people here, or start long discussions. Use the boards for extended discussion. Don't use this space to complain about the average rating, chart position, genre voting, others' reviews or ratings, or errors on the page.

THE LURKERS ain't no shirkers! by Rob Jones The Lurkers are not just another punk band that sprung forth out of the late 70’s movement. The nucleus of Howard Wall (vocals), Pete Stride (guitar), and Manic Esso (drums) with either Arturo Bassick or Nigel Moore (bass) created some potent and piercing new wave, and their debut album Fulham Fallout is one of the Midas moments of the golden era /5(2).
